Privacy policy

Who we are

Armourshield Roofing Services Ltd (company number 15430428), Rockall, Main Road, Gilberdyke, Brough, HU15 2XW. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at info@armourshieldroofing.co.uk or on 07447 352091.

What we collect and why

When you submit an enquiry or quote form we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you're interested in and your message. We use these solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange an inspection, provide a quote, and carry out and guarantee any work you ask us to do.

For security and anti-spam, our systems also process limited technical data when you submit a form — your IP address (used for rate-limiting to prevent abuse) and, if our spam protection is enabled, a verification token from Cloudflare Turnstile. This data is used only to protect the service and is not used to profile you.

Lawful basis

We process enquiry data because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to potential customers and protecting our website from abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate: our email delivery provider (which transmits your enquiry to us), our website hosting provider, and — where enabled — Cloudflare (spam protection). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments. We may also disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, plus the period required for legal, accounting, insurance and workmanship-guarantee purposes (our written guarantees run up to 15 years, so records of guaranteed work are kept for at least the guarantee period).

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above — we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and analytics

We ask before storing any advertising or analytics cookies. A banner on your first visit lets you accept or decline the cookies used by Google Ads (conversion tracking, which measures whether visits from our adverts lead to an enquiry) and Google Analytics (which measures how the site is used). If you accept, Google sets these cookies for those purposes. If you decline — or simply ignore the banner — both run in a cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode with advertising and analytics storage denied): no advertising or analytics cookies are set, no advertising profile of you is built, and Google receives anonymous, aggregated signals only. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie choices” link in the footer.

We also use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics service that is cookieless and does not collect or store personal data or track you across sites; it runs whether or not you accept the banner. Essential technical storage may also be used by our hosting platform to serve the site securely.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Please check back if you want to stay informed.
