Learn more →Replacing a conservatory roof turns a room that bakes in summer and freezes in winter into one you can actually use all year round. We take off tired, leaky polycarbonate and glazed conservatory roofs and replace them with lightweight, insulated “warm” roofs — solid and tiled, with a plastered, insulated ceiling inside — or with modern solar-control glass where you want to keep the light. We also repair existing conservatory roofs: leaking box gutters, failed flashings where the roof meets the house, and cracked or slipped panels.
The cost depends on the size and shape of the conservatory and the roof you choose — a lightweight insulated tiled roof is a bigger investment than a replacement glass or polycarbonate roof, and repairs cost far less than a full replacement. Every job is quoted free, in writing, after we’ve assessed the existing structure.
Spotting these early usually means a smaller, cheaper job. If any sound familiar, it's worth getting the roof looked at.
A solid, insulated roof finished with a plastered ceiling inside — turns the conservatory into a comfortable, year-round room. It’s a building alteration, so it’s carried out to Building Regulations.
Modern solar-control, self-cleaning glass keeps the room bright while cutting summer heat and winter heat-loss far better than old glazing.
The budget option — a straight like-for-like re-cover. Cheapest to fit, but the least effective at controlling temperature and noise.
A straightforward, no-pressure process from first call to finished job.
Yes. We replace polycarbonate and glass conservatory roofs with lightweight, insulated tiled “warm” roofs, finished with a plastered ceiling inside. It turns a conservatory that’s unusable in extreme weather into a comfortable room you can use all year.
Replacing a glazed roof with a solid, tiled one is a building alteration, so it’s carried out under Building Regulations and certified — we handle the notification. A like-for-like glass or polycarbonate replacement generally does not need approval.
Modern warm-roof systems are engineered to be lightweight — often comparable to, or lighter than, the glass they replace. We check the existing frames, dwarf wall and base first to confirm they’ll take the load before we quote.
Old polycarbonate and single-glazed roofs have very little insulation, so the room overheats in the sun and loses heat fast in winter. A tiled warm roof, or modern solar-control glass, fixes the temperature swing.
Yes — if a full replacement isn’t what you need, we repair leaking box gutters, failed flashings where the roof meets the house, and cracked or slipped polycarbonate panels.
Most take a few days, depending on the size and the system — a small lean-to is quicker, a large Victorian or Edwardian conservatory takes a little longer. We keep it weathertight throughout.
