Will a roof window leak?
Not when installed correctly. The flashing kit matched to your roof covering is what makes it watertight. Leaks almost always come from a wrong or poorly fitted flashing, which is exactly what we get right.
Do I need permission for a skylight?
Most roof windows that sit in line with the existing roof slope are permitted development and only need to meet Building Regulations. Conservation areas and listed buildings may differ — we will advise.
Can you replace an old, leaking Velux?
Yes. We remove the old unit, fit a new window and a fresh flashing kit, and make good inside and out.
