Drone Roof Inspections in York
Scaffolding a three-storey terrace in one of York's tight streets just to look at the roof is slow, intrusive and expensive — and in the city's conservation areas it is nobody's first choice. As a CAA-registered drone operator, we photograph ridges, valleys, chimney stacks and hidden slopes in high resolution, from Fulford and Acomb out to the villages around Escrick, and supply a written photo condition report. It suits pre-purchase checks, storm-damage claims and second opinions on another contractor's quote.

Drone Inspections in York: local factors
An aerial survey earns its keep before a planning conversation, not only after a storm. If City of York Council is going to want to see what is there now — an existing covering, a stack, the position of a proposed roof window — a dated set of high-resolution photographs makes the case better than a description.

In York we stripped a hipped roof whose original plain tiles were badly spalled and re-covered it in Russell Bute 3 — an interlocking concrete tile made to look like traditional small plain tiles — over new breathable membrane and treated battens, finished with a dry hip and dry ridge system and a dry valley, so there is no mortar on the roofline to crack or wash out.
