Flat Roofing in Driffield
Flat roofs are everywhere on Driffield’s newer estates — garages, porches and single-storey extensions — and increasingly on barn conversions in the surrounding Wolds villages, where a lean-to or link building carries a low-pitch roof. Old felt fails at the laps and around outlets, so we replace it with GRP fibreglass or EPDM rubber laid to proper falls, with insulation upgraded where the room below is lived in. Every flat roof is finished with sealed upstands and trims that stand up to Wolds weather.

Flat Roofing in Driffield: local factors
The southern conservation area has a core that is, or was, predominantly commercial, centred on River Head, the station and the railway line. Flat roofs are commonest on extensions, outbuildings and single-storey ranges rather than on main pitched roofs. Three flat coverings feature here — GRP fibreglass, EPDM rubber, torch-on felt — but which one is used matters less than the detailing at upstands and abutments, the usual place a flat roof fails first.
