Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal in Hedon
Damp Holderness air keeps moss growing on the shaded, north-facing slopes of Hedon rooftops, where it holds moisture against the tiles through every winter frost. Our roof cleaning service scrapes growth away by hand, applies a biocide treatment to slow regrowth and clears the gutters of everything dislodged. It suits older clay-roofed homes near the town centre as much as newer estates towards Preston, and it lets you see the true condition of a roof before small faults become leaks.

Moss Removal & Cleaning in Hedon: local factors
Pantile roofs are common on the town’s listed buildings, and pressure washing is the wrong tool on any of them. Single-lap tiles laid before underlay became standard give driven water an easy route through, and the blast strips the weathered surface off the clay. Scraping the growth off by hand and following up with a biocide takes longer, but it leaves the covering intact, which matters because a tile here is not easy to match once it is gone.
