Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal in Bridlington
The seafront itself is scoured too hard by wind and salt for much moss, but a few streets inland Bridlington’s sheltered north-facing slopes, garden-side roofs and the damp pantiles of the Old Town grow thick cushions of it, along with the grey and orange lichen that marks every coastal roof. Moss comes off by hand and soft brush — a pressure washer would take the weathered surface off old pantiles with it — and the roof is then treated with a biocide and the gutters emptied of what it has dropped.

Moss Removal & Cleaning in Bridlington: local factors
Plain tiles, the covering most common in the Hilderthorpe conservation area, behave differently from pantiles under moss: far more laps for it to sit in, and growth there can lift a tile's tail and push water sideways. Jet washing is the wrong tool, the pressure strips the face of the tile and drives water up under the courses.
