Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal in Driffield
Driffield’s becks and the mature trees along them keep the air damp on the lower side of town, and roofs shaded by trees or facing north grow moss fast, especially the rippled pantiles of the older streets and the porous concrete tiles of the first estates. Left alone it holds water against the tile, feeds frost damage and slides into the gutters in clumps. We remove it by hand, never with a pressure washer, then apply a biocide treatment that slows regrowth for years.

Moss Removal & Cleaning in Driffield: local factors
Later properties in Driffield (South) are slated rather than pantiled, and slate takes badly to the wrong cleaning method. Nails a century old are already weak, a scraper worked carelessly lifts slates off them, and pressure washing drives water up under the head lap and strips the surface. Hand-scraping and a biocide treatment do the job without any of that.
