Velux & Skylight Installation in Bridlington
Bridlington’s Victorian guest houses and seafront villas were built with attics, and many are now being turned into bedrooms or holiday lets that want daylight and a sea view. We fit VELUX and similar roof windows into the steep slate slopes along the Quay and Hilderthorpe, flashed to shed rain that arrives sideways off the bay, and choose frame finishes and glazing that stand up to salt air. In the Old Town conservation area we can advise which slopes a roof window can go on without a planning problem.

Velux & Skylights in Bridlington: local factors
Consent is the first question, not the last: on a listed building, or on a front slope in a conservation area, a roof window is likelier to need permission than one on a rear slope. East Riding of Yorkshire Council will say which applies to an address. The covering decides the rest - a deep-profile flashing kit for pantiles, a flat-tile kit for plain tiles, a slate kit for slate.
