Velux & Skylight Installation in Pocklington
Turning an unused loft into a bright, usable room is one of the most requested jobs in Pocklington — it adds space without losing any garden. We install Velux and other roof windows into slate, pantile and concrete-tiled roofs across the town and in nearby villages such as Wilberfoss and Barmby Moor, flashing each unit correctly for its covering so it stays watertight through exposed Wolds-edge winters. Every installation comes with a free, no-obligation quote first.

Velux & Skylights in Pocklington: local factors
A conservation area often treats a street-facing roof window differently from one on a rear slope, so East Riding of Yorkshire Council's planning team can confirm what applies to a particular address before anything is ordered. On slate, the flashing kit has to suit a thin, flat covering — a profiled kit made for tiles will not bed down on it.
What's included in our velux & skylights service
- Roof window supply and installation (pitched and flat roofs)
- Correct flashing kit for slate, tile or flat coverings
- Forming and trimming the opening and internal reveal
- Replacing failed or leaking existing roof windows
Velux and roof-window installation starts from around £695; a standard supply-and-fit commonly runs £900–£1,800 depending on size, access and finishing. Free fixed quote. See our full price guide.
A dry verge along the gable of a detached home in Pocklington (YO42) had lifted and come away in the wind. We stripped back the loose sections and refitted the verge mechanically — properly clipped and secured — so the edge is watertight again and will hold through the next storm.
“Would highly recommend. Quick reply, quick turn around of the job and everything done to a high standard. Thank you so much”
When to call us in Pocklington
